2005 Chevy Malibu CD Player – Disc Stuck In Drive – DIY

@atskooc I am having this same problem. It tells me there is no disk, yet I can play the disk just fine. Weird.

didn’t work on my 2005 malibu. the cd plays, but it won’t eject. when i try to eject the cd the player clicks about 50 times and says “check disc.” i’m going to try unhooking the battery for a few minutes and hopefully that works.

thanks. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I pulled the fuse and the cd keeps clicking. how did you do it?

Eddie, Man….. I did what you said do. I have a 2005 Malibu Maxx and the CD had been in there since August until 1-6-2010 when I ran across your video. I just knew it was going to work and couldn’t get home fast enough to try it. Bottom line, it worked just like you said. I went to WAWA and got some coffee and drove around and listened to CD for about a hour I was so happy. GOD BLESS YOU.

I had a similar problem-the cd came out but the player kept spinning, making an annoying noise the whole time I was driving. I tried this trick and it worked like a charm. Thanks for posting this video.

Have you found a solution for the disc stuck with the clicking noise when you eject? I have the same problem
